Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time to visit Uttarakhand?
March–June is ideal for hill stations and sightseeing, April–June & September–October are best for the Char Dham Yatra, and December–February brings snow to Auli. The monsoon (July–August) can cause landslides on hill roads.
When does the Char Dham Yatra open and close?
The shrines open around Akshaya Tritiya (late April / early May) and close near Diwali (October–November). Exact dates are announced each year by the temple committees.
How many days are needed for the Char Dham Yatra?
The full Char Dham circuit takes about 10–12 days by road from Haridwar or Delhi. A Do Dham trip (Kedarnath + Badrinath) can be done comfortably in 5–7 days.
Is the Kedarnath trek difficult?
Kedarnath involves a 16 km trek from Gaurikund and is moderately challenging due to the altitude. Ponies, palki (palanquins) and porters are readily available for those who prefer not to walk.
Do your packages include hotels, cabs and meals?
Yes. Every package includes hand-picked hotels, hill-ready cabs with experienced drivers, and meal plans (usually breakfast & dinner). Everything is customizable to your budget and group size.
How do I reach Uttarakhand?
The nearest airport is Dehradun (Jolly Grant). Major railheads are Haridwar, Kathgodam (for Kumaon) and Ramnagar (for Corbett). Uttarakhand is also well connected by road from Delhi and the rest of North India.
